Here, it was the wettest July on record for Northern Ireland and 6th overall for the UK whilst the Republic of Ireland sees wettest July on record with rainfall at 215%, following hottest June

Why have so many places seen record rainfall this year?  Partly global warming, but it's likely we're also seeing the effects of the massive amount of water vapour put into the atmosphere by last year's Tongan volcanic eruption.
