10th February - Today's News: Europe's Coldest January for 16 Years; Globally 5th Warmest

Europe suffered its coldest January in 16 years – with average temperatures hitting just –2.34°C whilst globally, the fifth-warmest January sees 2026 start with weather extremes across both hemispheres 'Blocked' weather pattern to blame for UK's endless downpours - as noted in the article, we've already had more than the average rain for the whole of February in Evesham, although, as I record data from midnight to midnight, I haven't quite managed rain every day this year as some places have. 6th January - Today's News: Heavy Snowfall in Scotland
