At Snaith, in East Yorkshire, flooded homeowners open their doors to reveal terrible scenes of misery from 15-day deluge as more rain arrives - though I really don't see why that want Boris to visit them!  Surely it's enough of a disaster as it is .... Meanwhile, closer to home, Worcester and Shropshire flooding 'not over yet' and a warning that Storm Dennis is 'a taste of things to come' for Wales

As BOM says last summer was the second-hottest on record, new data shows that Australian summers 'twice as long as winters' - though here we don't even have winter any more!   Though not everywhere was as warm, it was actually a cool summer for parts of Australia, especially Melbourne.
And we're not the only ones seeing warmer than normal weather.  Moscow winter 'warmest since records began'


And more plastic pollution: Snowdon research is a 'wake-up call'  There is plastic in our rain ....
