26th August - Today's News: Icelandic Heatwave

 This week, Iceland experienced it's highest recorded temperature in thirteen years - 29.3c (or nearly 10c warmer than much of England has been experiencing, albeit the Highlands hot over 27c yesterday)

The latest State of the Climate report from the American Meteorological Society concludes that Europe's 2020 heat reached 'troubling' level - 2020 was the warmest year on record for Europe, it remains to be seen where 2021 beats it.   Meanwhile, Europe's extreme rains made more likely by humans
