12th December - Today's News: Snow Chaos Hits England

An unexpected 3 inches of snow in Evesham on Sunday - and it didn't all turn to slush straight away, making it the best snow event since 2018 as West of England residents wake up to covering of snow and motorways shut amid treacherous conditions.

Last night it was then the turn of the SE, as snow causes road closures and long delays in the East of England and the weather brings London transport to a standstill

Meanwhile, it's turned much colder in the north where the temperature drops to -15.6C in Braemar on coldest night of year
