15th November - Today's News: Welsh Floods Whilst Inverness Gets Snow

Parts of Wales and the Marches were worst affected by yesterday's rain as f loods prompt 'danger to life' warnings and evacuation in Monmouth with a  major incident declared after severe flooding in UK  and m ore rain forecast for Saturday before cold snap hits UK Here in Evesham, a storm total of 55.5mm and daily total of 52.8mm was the highest I've recorded since July 2007 but surprisingly no flood problems - the advantage of having had such a dry year with the water table still low.    Meanwhile, for some, there's a c hance of snow in UK this week after Storm Claudia clears  whilst already  Inverness sees Scotland's first snowfall of season  (low level snow, that is)

7th November - Today's News: Death Toll Rises as Typhoon Kalmaegi Crosses SE Asia

Typhoon barrels towards Cambodia after killing at least 193 in Philippines and Vietnam Spain struck by horror floods leaving high streets submerged and dozens of flights cancelled Britain's m ild start to November sees temperature records broken  with some overnight minima higher than the average for July.  I recorded a min of 13.6c on the 5th. Globally,  2025 set to be second or third warmest year on record, continuing exceptionally high warming trend Great Barrier Reef may partially recover from 'grim future' if global warming stays below 2C - but with 1.5c warming effectively now certain, CO2 still rising, and no-one giving a damn, I can't see that happening.    Worth noting that it's not the warming itself that so much an issue as the speed of it.
