26th January - Today's News: Snow Hits Central England

 Sunday saw  lockdown treat as families frolic in the white stuff, sledding, building snowmen and even having a snowball fight outside Buckingham Palace after people across the South were woken by deafening 'thundersnow' clap this morning    We even had 1cm of snow in Evesham ..... but it didn't last long.  Still, the most we have seen since March 2018.     And on Monday morning, the  icy blast sparks travel chaos   in parts of the Midlands. Meanwhile, in California, r are Malibu snowfall sees excited locals break out the sleds   while an Alabama tornado kills one man and injures at least 20 as buildings collapse, roofs fly off church and hotel and people are trapped in cars - while winter storm blankets Midwest And  International Space Station detects blue 'jets' of lightning shooting upwards from thunder clouds that could influence greenhouse gas concentrations in Earth's atmosphere

12th January - Today's News: Heavy Snow Hits Japan

Motorists stranded and trains delayed as winter weather pummels Japan    This comes after   Madrid is paralysed by first heavy snow in fifty years .
