An opinion piece in Forbes:
Calling every bad storm a 'superstorm' or 'weather bomb' is why people tune out weather forecasts is as applicable to the UK as it is the US.   And it doesn't help either when the popular media publish stories bizarrely claiming that "BRITS are braced for a miserable weekend as a blanket of "radiation fog" brings wind, cold and rain".   The reality is a mixed bag of quite normal autumnal weather, with foggy conditions in some southern parts followed by rain on Saturday, and then a fairly cool, but dry and sunny Sunday.  You couldn't get more normal if you tried.  The real story is how dry it has been in parts of England for the past few weeks!
