4th March - Today's News: Alabama Tornado Leaves 23 Dead
Six-year-old boy among the 23 people killed by tornadoes that ripped through Alabama and Georgia - that's more than twice the number of tornado fatalities in the USA in the whole of 2018 .....
And here in the UK it was also a bit windy as 90mph Storm Freya batters Britain with 6in of snow, trees on rail lines and roads closed due to flooding. It killed some of my daffodils! And March 'to be the month of many weathers' as Storm Freya hits with unexpected heavy snow in Ireland.
And human beings are susceptible to 'boiling frog' phenomenon, climate scientists warn - a gradual change becomes the norm and we simply don't appreciate the longer trend ....
