BOM forecasts intense, prolonged rain as flash flooding hits northern NSW and Sydney whilst Queensland's heavy rain continues with flash flooding and Brisbane's peak hour traffic disrupted but at least this week's heavy rain extinguishes third of blazes in NSW
In the US there's been a lot of damage and at least three deaths as a result of deadly winter storms sweeping across the south causing flooding whilst blizzards bring widespread disruption to Rocky Mountain area
