29th May - Today's News: Britain's Best Ever Spring?

I said back in early March that the Law of Sod meant if we went into lockdown it'd be one of the best springs on record ..... and so it has been.  Almost continually warm, dry and sunny in Evesham.   And with just 0.9mm of rain in my garden May has been my driest month ever (records only from 2007 though) as the driest May on record raises fears of summer hosepipe bans

East Anglia, at the least is heading for sunniest spring on record - and one of the warmest and driest

Meanwhile, in Holland, this spring is the sunniest on record
