17th August - Today's News: Three Months' Rain Falls in a Day in Norfolk

Lots more rain yesterday as thunderstorms continue to hit southern Britain (great weather in Scotland though), particularly East Anglia where parts of region hit by 160mm of rain in one day - a quarter of an average year’s downfall whilst more flash floods damaged buildings and shut roads across southeast England with six inches of rain in two days and in Chelmsford flooding: Kayakers take to water.  More storms expected today ....
