2nd September - Today's News: England's Warmest Summer, NZ's Warmest Winter

The MetO confirm it was the joint hottest summer on record for England and one of the top 5 summers on record for the UK as a whole.  It's also, so far, the warmest year on record.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, New Zealand just had its warmest, wettest winter on record - that's the 3rd year running their record has been broken.
