However, here, after snow last week, the Highlands and Grampian enjoy warm spell as ‘unusual’ weather reversal causes England to freeze.  It was -6.7c in my garden this morning, 20c colder than Altnaharra (13.2c).  And yesterday London had their coldest night for 12 years recorded as temperatures drop to -8.4C making UK capital chillier than Russia

Meanwhile, across Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Eastern European rivers flood after ‘extraordinary’ weather and record high temperatures

And down in the Antarctic: Giant iceberg breaks away in front of UK station
