Antarctic ocean currents heading for collapse- report - and whilst this may not have too much direct impact on the northern hemisphere, it's worth noting that a collapse of the thermoline conveyor, or other major oceans currents, due to global warming could, ironically, usher in a period of significant cooling in some regions. Global warming and a mini ice age, all at the same time, is not entirely beyond the bounds of possibility!
