10th February - Today's News: More Flooding in England

Despite no warning being issued, we had 31mm rain in Evesham on Thursday - which compares with the official LTA for Pershore of 34.4mm for the whole month.   So virtually a whole months rainfall in one day.  Avon peaked at just over 3.5m - slightly lower than in January,  but still above "normal" winter flood levels.  National media not particularly interested though, although the Daily Mail had a few photos as snow and flood warnings remain in place in some areas. Maybe flood fatigue has set in?

Further north, Thursday saw schools closed and drivers struggled on deadly frozen roads
