24th July - Today's News: Global Daily Temperature Record Broken Again - Two Days Running

Having reported that on Sunday a new record daily global average temperature reached in July 2024 it's just now been announced that Monday was even hotter as World breaks hottest day record twice in a week

Whilst these new records may have been only fractionally higher than the previous records, set in July last year, what's significant is how much higher all these temperatures are than any previous annual record.   And there is a chance the record could yet be beaten again this summer.
