19th November - Today's News: Central England Plastered in Snow
Some models said it'd just be rain, with snow further north, others - notably Arperge and Harmonie - said we'd get snow right down over the south Midlands this morning. And it's the latter that proved correct with Evesham seeing a good inch of snow cover first thing, and more falling this morning, though with roads and pavements thawing. First time in a very long while we've seen snow on the ground here in November (first snow to fall at all since March 2023). And it wasn't forecast this far south (because the Met Office ignored those European models .... )
