28th October - Today's News: Record Rainfall Brings Floods to Tanzania

Torrential downpours cause major flooding in Tanzania with many places seeing 24 hour and monthly records broken


In the eastern Pacific, NASA finds new Tropical Storm Selma has heavy rain-making potential with El Salvador and Guatemala under threat 

The average length of the US winter has shrunk by more than one month in 100 years (it's shrunk to nothing at all here!)



Brazil's Chapada dos Veadeiros park ravaged by fire - up to a quarter of the park destroyed ....  Suspicions are it was started deliberately.   


Is current climate change unparalleled over the last 100 million years?  Estimates of past ocean temperatures could be flawed. 


Dwarf planet Ceres may have harbored vast ancient ocean (Ceres was previously just a big asteroid before being upgraded.... )

And a small asteroid or comet 'visits' from beyond the solar system - or maybe it's an Arcturian Megafreighter on route to Kakafroon?   They really should get round to building that by-pass .....
