7th February - Today's News: Remembering Black Saturday
10 years ago was Black Saturday: The bushfire disaster that shook Australia. 173 people died in the firestorm. It was just before I started this news blog, but I remembering the awful stories all too well.
Meanwhile today there's an emergency warning for bushfire in Forrestdale, south of Perth, as homes, schools threatened but at least rains bring relief to bushfire-weary Tasmanian towns and fire crews
