4th June - Today's News: Floods Across Eastern Europe
The situation in eastern Europe worsens as flood waters from Czech dams bear down on Prague and torrential rains take toll across Poland whilst German-speaking Swiss mop up from heavy rain and German city submerged by 'dramatic' 500-year flood - it should be noted though that although current floods are worse than usual, such events not uncommon this time of year, for example June 2009 and May 2010.
