1st September - Today's News: Dust Storm Shrouds Brisbane

So, was it a record breaking summer?  Possibly.  It may end up the warmest for England, and third warmest in the CET record.

Tropical disturbance could pose storm danger for western Europe.  Or it might not.  At present it's a bunch of thunderstorms off the African coast that may develop into a tropical depression that may or may not then develop into a hurricane that may or may not peter out into nothing before it may or may not start to track north towards the British Isles where it may or may not give us some weather that may or may not include a bit of wind and rain.

And water worlds could support life, study says, though perhaps not quite as advanced on rockier worlds with tidal shoreline
