19th June - Today's News: Over an Inch of Rain Finally Falls on Evesham

Rain!   With 28.5mm in my garden, we had more rain yesterday than the whole of March, the whole of  April and, er, 31 times as much as we had in the whole of May.   The weeds will love it!   Doesn't appear to have caused too many issues though as it was steady, moderate rain rather than any torrential downpour.  Except in South Wales where there was anger as people flee homes after third flood this year.

On Wednesday we missed all the storms, but there were Midlands streets flooded and trains delayed as floods hit whilst the tabloid media showed their ignorance and confusion, claiming snow hits UK in middle of June after thunderstorms dump 2 inches of rain.  It was just hail ....

The warm spring weather has brought a warning of 'significant' blooms of harmful algae in Scotland
