27th June - Today's News: Drought Concerns for Europe

There are worrying signs of drought in European groundwater after a mild winter and warm, dry spring


Yesterday saw large hailstones fall on Leeds and Sheffield after another 'spectacular' lightning storm lights up Isle of Man sky on Thursday evening.   Nothing, of course, in Evesham except a little rain today.   But at least after Europe sizzles in post-lockdown heatwave it's finally turned cooler here.
