26th June - Today's News: World's Longest Lightning

Yesterday saw the UK's hottest day of the year so far with highs of 33.3C  (actually 33.5c in the end) and there was also record levels of UV radiation.   Not really a good day for laying on a crowded, dirty beach ....  unless you want skin cancer and covid-19.  

And elsewhere Europe sizzles as temperatures rise towards 40C and the Finnish summer heat record broken again on Thursday. But there have been 3 killed, hundreds evacuated due to powerful flooding in Ukraine
