And I've just seen the Met Office report on the St Jude's Day autumn storm, October 2013 which concludes it was one of the top 10 worst autumn storms to affect southern England in the past 40 years, but not particularly significant compared to winter storms, or, indeed, the rest of Britain.   Sorry Home Countiers - it was just a normal wee gale.
