Major travel disruption, most homes north of the Great Glen without power and some structural damage as hurricane gusts cause disruption to power and travel (there is of course no such thing as a 'hurricane gust' but winds have gusted in excess of 100mph at low levels - it will be interested to see what the highest sustained windspeeds were) and further south too North England storms caue travel disruption and power cuts
whilst in Ireland flights diverted and power cut as 120kmh gales sweep country.
