In British Columbia, temperature records broken, campfire bans in effect whilst B.C. declares state of emergency as wildfires burn out of control.  Further south, Palm Springs hits new record high temperature as Southern California broils - these are only date records being broken though.  And there are complaints that in there's a 120-degree heat wave and media silence on climate change
