Disruption to travel services as stormy weather batters Scotland with heavy rain today before more snow showers and severe gales bring blizzard conditions to the hills. There are also 'unusually high' waves forecast for Scotland whilst it's predicted the storm will bring 70ft waves and icy weather to coasts of Eire too. Could also turn very windy (and wet) down south later on Thursday into Friday. A stormy week then, but only what you expect in December.
