We're in a record 2014 freeze for England, Wales and Northern Ireland - though it's notable mainly for the fact that it is notable: cold weather having been so rare in what will be the warmest year on record.



And strange ice flows seen in Finland as Lapland chills to -35c - the lowest so far this winter


2014 may be the first year with no below zero temps in Anchorage, Alaska - although they mean fahrenheit, so it was still often freezing there!
