29th August 2012 - Hurricane Issac Makes Landfall in Louisiana





While in Scotland, snow joke: first snow of the year predicted before the close of August.   I think they mean the first snow of autumn.    And there was quite a bit of snow on the Cairngorms in August last year ......  As Tom Jones would say, it's not unusual!   Very silly picture too.   But it is a comic.

Up on Mars, Curioisty rover's intinguing geological find is a discontinuity in the rock strata -  further evidence there were once seas on the red planet.  Curiosoity has also spotted a bizarre collection of space aliens ......
